Rookwood, Ombersley

Project objective

The homeowners were keen to remain in the area they loved, but their family required additional space. The primary goal was to convert the existing loft into a luxury new bedroom complete with an ensuite, maximising the use of the home's footprint and the beautiful countryside views surrounding the property. Alongside the loft conversion, the project also aimed to rejuvenate the property both inside and out—bringing a fresh, modern look to the internal living spaces and enhancing the external appearance to create a cohesive, contemporary home that better suited the family’s lifestyle.

Challenges

Key features

• Bespoke wall panelling added character and detail throughout

• Thoughtfully designed bathroom layout to maximise space and function

• New staircase seamlessly integrated with the existing one through precise planning and craftsmanship

• Installation of a second-floor wetroom—an uncommon feature—successfully executed despite structural challenges

Reviews

We highly recommend Sam and the Chambers Construction team. Throughout the process of our loft conversion (and roof rebuild) they have been professional, friendly and supportive. Despite the weather being unpredictable over Winter, every effort was made to keep the house safe and secure.

As our Project Manager, Sam’s communication has been excellent and we have been kept well informed at every stage. His positive outlook and “can do” attitude maintained our enthusiasm for the project throughout. The access to our property could have been challenging but logistics were managed brilliantly. The initial quotation, payment plan and invoicing scheme were clear and accurate, allowing us to budget effectively.

The team were flexible, patient and responsive to requests regarding changes to our plans (especially Jamie!) The whole team, and subcontracted teams, were friendly, respectful and tidy. They all integrated well into our busy family life and the kids and dog became very fond of them all!

We are delighted with the end result, the build quality and finish are excellent and all was completed in a timely fashion.

Thank you to the whole Chambers Construction team!
